NCRI Accepts Award From KC Mayor Mark Funkhouser

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Sept. 22—National Catastrophe Restoration, Inc. received an award at the 2010 BuildExpo event—a premier tradeshow for the building and construction industry. Two marketing representatives, Anna Manning and Anna Stacia Nelson, attended the awards portion of the event on behalf of NCRI and accepted a proclamation from Kansas City Mayor Mark Funkhouser.

Location of the 2010 KC BuildExpo and Awards CeremonyThe mayor’s proclamation deemed Sept. 22 and 23 “Build Expo Days” in honor of the nationwide Build Expo returning after four years. The Expo has returned in hopes to ignite the construction industry for the Kansas City metro area. Before handing out the awards, Funkhouser discussed the economic downturn and how the recession has affected the construction industry. He stated that 60 percent of Kansas City construction workers are currently without jobs.

The mayoral proclamations were given to selected local construction, architecture, engineering and restoration companies for the leadership and dedication to the metro area. The Build Expo event was held in Bartle Hall.
